General Summary:

An energetic and positive leader, rooted in Gospel values, who increases the number of donors and their gifting levels toward Loyola School development funds and Schola Foundation funds.  This position plans, directs and coordinates all school and foundation-based development activities and major fundraising efforts.  The Director manages a team of two and a strong group of volunteers to ensure success in all Development Program initiatives and reports directly to the Principal/School Leader.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. In coordination with the Principal/School Leader, create and manage Development Office’s strategic plan. This plan encompasses all fundraising and constituent relation initiatives.
  2. Manage multi-year fundraising goals to meet operating budget and balance sheet requirements in collaboration and coordination with the Board of Trustees, the Board’s Finance Committee, the Principal/School Leader and the Schola Foundation.
  3. Identify and secure annual funds totaling at least 300% of their salary and total department operating budget including full and part-time staff.
  4. Direct the telemarketing, direct mail, and email/online development initiatives.
  5. Direct key volunteers and personally solicit gifts for the Annual Fund’s “Lead Donor” program.
  6. Manage the stewardship process for benefactors of the school and Schola.
  7. Direct the development and effectiveness of the fundraising databases and records management process.
  8. Initiate and direct stewarding and training of volunteer leadership in support of development initiatives, including such areas as the Loyola Board of Trustees, the Loyola Advancement Committee, Schola Board of Trustees, campaign solicitors,  “Lead Loyola AF Donor” solicitors, sponsorship solicitors,  key event committees, reunion committees and Alumni Association leadership.
  9. Identify annual sources of new funding such as grants, small/large business sponsorships, donors and gifts.
  10. Ensure Loyola School and Schola development activities properly support and reflect the school’s mission, goals and fiscal responsibilities.
  11. Other duties as required and/or assigned by the board.


  1. Proficient in required technology including but not limited to Google Suites, Raiser’s Edge, EdEdge and Web.
  2. Generates queries, reports, exports and any other collection data as needed.  Management of people, processes, and systems/program.
  3. Proficient in planning, organizing, and executing fundraising initiatives.
  4. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  5. Budget management of both expenses and revenues.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $125,000
