Mrs. Sipe

I have been a counselor since 1990.  My professional career began as a Chemical Dependency Counselor working for Abbott-Northwestern Hospital and Immanuel-St. Joseph's Mayo Health System for a total of 11 years.  My true passion has always been to work with children and I obtained my Master's Degree in School Counseling in 2000.  I have worked for the Chaska School District and the Mankato School District for over 10 years, with the majority of my time spent at East Jr. High School.  I obtained my Specialist Degree in School Administration a few years ago and was the Assistant Principal at Dakota Meadows Middle School and the Assistant Principal in Fairmont.  Due to the financial hardships all schools, in Minnesota, are facing my position was eliminated.  I have returned to Mankato Public Schools and I am now the non-public school counselor at Fitzgerald on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The other days of my week are spent at Central High School.

My husband, Mike is a teacher at Mankato West and together we have two beautiful daughters, Hallie and Taylor.  We enjoy spending time "at the lake" and attending many sporting events.

I have found working at Fitz to be extremely rewarding!  The students are outstanding and the staff a complete pleasure to work with.  I truly believe that things happen for a reason, I feel blessed to be working here!
