Mrs. Schrader (Grades 4-6)
I enjoy teaching at loyola because I have the opportunity to help foster life-long relationships with God in my students by living out my faith and challenging my students to be moral decision-makers.
I have always had a passion to work with children. Shortly after graduation and acquiring my Minnesota teaching license, I began my first year teaching at St. Michael’s School in the fall of 2005. After my second year my husband and I decided to move closer to family and I was fortunate to find a teaching position here at Loyola Catholic School in 2007.
Since coming into the Loyola family I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of subjects and grade levels including 4th grade math, 5th grade reading, 6th grade religion, 6-8th grade art, and 4-9th grade computer. I challenge my students to increase their skills and knowledge , to independently demonstrate what they have learned, to explain the strategies they use and to support their ideas with references from text and other sources. In addition to teaching I have the joy of working as the technology integration specialist.
I currently live in Mankato with my husband David and daughter Elsa. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, finding a good coupon deal, going on adventures, and taking and editing pictures.
