A little bit about me

I am originally from Sioux Falls, SD and went to O’Gorman Catholic High School. I attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN to pursue a degree in music education. I enjoyed playing in the St. Olaf Band, St. Olaf Philharmonia, St. Olaf Percussion Ensemble, and being a member of the clarinet and percussion studios. Some of my favorite memories are from the St. Olaf Band tours that took us all over the country and even abroad!

Prior to coming to Loyola, I taught band at Faribault Middle School along with the guitar and music technology classes. I also worked at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan during the summers while in college. Additionally, I worked as a Program Assistant with Minnesota Music Educators Association before my time in Faribault.

I stay active playing in Owatonna Community Band, Owatonna Symphony Orchestra, and Minnesota River Valley Wind Ensemble here in Mankato. I have also subbed in the Austin Symphony and the Bloomington Medalist Concert Band. I enjoy playing in the pit for musical productions in the area. I am a Minnesota Twins fan and used to work part time at Target Field as an usher! I enjoy biking, hiking, and knitting in my spare time. I live in Owatonna, MN with my husband Ethan who is also a music teacher!
