Mrs. Willaert
"I have been teaching at Loyola Catholic School since 1985. Most of my time was spent in second grade, but recently I have been enjoying the opportunity of seeing life from the eyes of first graders.
Once, when on maternity leave, I made a surprise visit to my school. When I walked in the door I noticed a small group of students at the other end of the hallway getting a drink at the fountain. Their eyes caught mine and they quickly made their way to me, one calling out, “You’re home!” ...and I was! Teaching at Loyola feels like home. Growing in knowledge and faith with children is so important to me and has become part of who I am.
Most of my time is spent with my family playing cards, walking/biking/cross-country skiing, and enjoying nature. I also read, scrapbook, knit/crochet/sew, and do yoga. I love to laugh.
My husband, Jeff, and I have four children, live in North Mankato, and are both Loyola alumni.
