I have been teaching at Loyola Catholic School since 1985. Most of my time was spent in second grade, but now I enjoy the opportunity of seeing life from the eyes of first graders.
Once, when on maternity leave, I made a surprise visit to school. When I walked in the door I noticed a small group of students getting a drink at the fountain. Their eyes caught mine and they quickly made their way to me, one calling out, “You’re home!” ...and I was! Teaching at Loyola feels like home. Growing in knowledge and faith with children is so important to me and has become part of who I am.
Most of my time is spent with my family playing cards, walking, biking, cross country skiing and enjoying nature. I also read, scrapbook, knit, crochet, sew and do yoga. I love to laugh.
My husband Jeff and I are Loyola graduates. We live in North Mankato and have four children.
Attended: I attended the College of St. Benedict for two years and graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading.
Degree: B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading.
