Mrs. Willaert's Classroom

I have been teaching with Loyola Catholic School since 1985 in third, second, and first grades. I have taught at Holy Rosary, St. Joseph-St. John’s, SSPP, and here at Loyola Catholic School.

Once, when on maternity leave, I made a surprise visit to school. When I walked in the door I noticed a small group of students getting a drink at the fountain. Their eyes caught mine and they quickly made their way to me, one calling out, “You’re home!” ...and I was! Teaching at Loyola feels like home. Growing in knowledge and faith with children is so important to me and has become part of who I am.

My husband Jeff and I are Loyola graduates. We live in North Mankato and have four children and two grandsons.

Most of my time is spent with my family playing cards, walking, biking, cross country skiing and enjoying nature. I also read, scrapbook, knit, crochet, sew and do yoga. I love to travel and laugh.
