I have taught in the Loyola system since 1988. It is important for me to teach at Loyola because I get the chance to watch children grow spiritually and academically.
I started my teaching career as a substitute teacher and a “Story Hour” teacher at the North Mankato Library while my children were growing up. When my youngest started kindergarten, I started teaching at Holy Rosary and taught kindergarten for two years. I then moved up to first grade and I loved it. After 23 years of teaching first grade, I was ready for a change. I now find my home in second grade. It was another good move. I enjoy this age group also! I am proud to say that I have the honor of teaching your children.
My husband Tom and I were blessed with three children. Our family has grown now to include eight grandchildren. Every chance I get, I love spending time taking care of and playing with them. I also enjoy gardening, reading and traveling.
